Life of Larisa or LOL

I'm almost half way through my year of "new things".  This week I took the boys and my grandma, who is in town visiting from Arizona, to Beyond Van Gogh The Immersive Experience .  Together, we all experienced something new.  Right on the heels of last weeks recreating Van Gogh's Sunflower painting, Zach and I were really interested in seeing what all the excitement was about surrounding this traveling exhibit.  We were not disappointed.        When I first found out about the Van Gogh Experience coming to Honolulu in July, I hoped it would coincide with the visit my grandma was planning to make.  Once the dates were locked in, I was able to go online and book our tickets.  The Experience I booked was for the morning, I wanted to start the day with something new and innovative.  The Honolulu Beyond Van Gogh is being held at The Hawai'i Convention Center near Ala Moana Center and on the edge of Waikiki.  Upon entering, temperatu...

Art class was in session at our house the past couple of afternoons.  For "new thing" number twenty-three, Zach and I tried our hand at painting famous artists well known works of art.  We completed two masterpieces---a recreation of Vincent Van Gogh's "Sunflowers" and Claude Monet's "Water Lilies".  New art was a creative outlet for this weeks "new thing".  I love things that are presented in the form of a "kit".  During the height of the pandemic, when we were quarantined at home, we did ALL the kits---make your own Boba, Tacos, Ice Cream Sundaes, Decorate your own Donuts (I see a food theme).  Now we are able to go out to eat and now we are finding kits that are more centered around arts and crafts.  When I was shopping for the supplies for the DIY Sip and Paint, I came across a painting kit called MasterKitz.  Essentially, the makers of this art kit, have supplied you with everything you will need to create a famous work of ...
