Life of Larisa or LOL

I'm at about one "New Thing" a week since 2021 started.  This week's "New Thing" consisted of a new to me hiking trail called Lualualei Lookout.  According to the health app on my phone, this hike was 6.1 miles.  The All Trails App has a difference of opinion, coming in at 4.2 miles.  I guess we could split the difference and say it was about five miles of hiking completed this past Sunday.  No matter the mileage, it was a leg burner for sure, all parties can agree to that.        My trusty hiking companions for this new trail were April, Jennah, and Marina.  The trail was new to all of us, so it was an exciting adventure.  Lualualei is located in Wai'anae on the island of O'ahu.  Wai'anae is a pretty good drive from our respective homes, almost an hour in the car, but well worth the scenic drive.  The start of the trail is a known high theft area, so we decided to employ my teenage son as our chauffeur.  We arrived at the trailhead right at 9:00

Goat farm, there's something I didn't expect to add to my "52 New Things" list.  Sweet Land Farm is a cute goat dairy that makes handmade goat cheeses and other goat milk products only fifteen minutes away from our house and on the way to the Northshore.  I've driven past the farm hundreds of times and never even knew it was there.  And then a couple of Saturdays ago, my friend texts me a picture of a bunch of baby goats...my curiosity was sparked.  Tell me more.     A couple of minutes of Instagram sleuthing, using Waze to pinpoint the exact location to turn off the main road, and a quick glimpse of their Facebook page, and I was ready to venture out with Isom and the boys to check out a Goat Farm.  I was on the fence (like the goats) on whether or not I could count the excursion as a "New Thing".  I have been to a goat farm on Maui.  I've been to other types of farms that have goats.  But in the end I decided it did count, since this was a "Ne
