Top Ten Tuesday

...top ten things I wanna eat since we (Isom and I) are currently halfway through our three day cleanse.  Why did I agree to this? I can think of about a thousand other things I'd rather cleanse right now. The inside of my body coming in last after cleansing the bathroom that three boys use. I don't really know how legit this cleanse is since we bought the "juices" in a jumbo sized three pack at Costco, but... Here goes. I spent precious toddler nap time perusing food blogs. Virtually filling my belly. I've literally been dreaming of food, so I thought I'd share. 1. Waffle S'mores http://doughmesstic.com/2012/04/16/smores-chocolate-waffles/ 2. Buttery Movie Popcorn  http://www.browneyedbaker.com/2010/08/03/how-to-make-perfect-homemade-popcorn/ 3. Campfire Hotdog (I don't even eat meat) http://www.marthastewart.com/257820/campfire-hot-dogs 4. Creamy Peach Ice Cream http://sweetpeaskitchen.com/2011/08/fresh-peach-ice-cream/ 5. Just a quick post to share another fun iPhone app with you...also discovered via another, yep, phone app. If you live life on your computer instead of your phone (clearly better), then I don't know what to tell you, except you are missing out!  Since Father's Day is around the corner, I was recently trolling the web for ideas for Isom. I decided NOT to go the power tool route. For purely selfish reasons of course. I did not want to make him think I was condoning a re-build the stairs, install an elevator, add a third floor type project. So, I went with the total cheese factor. Homemade. Sorta. Made at home. On my phone. While watching The Killing (new favorite show) on tv. Multi-tasking!  Once you finish reading this post from a link in your Facebook feed, go to the App Store (I'm gonna assume you have an iPhone) and download Mosaic. It's like Shutterfly only you use pictures from your phone. Cutting out that pesky middle man, your camera. It doesn't get any easier

This Week's Photo (And Life) Enhancements

...brought to you by my trusty iPhone and the genius that is ABeautifulMess app...and my two wild boys. We have officially started driving each other crazy...otherwise known as summer break!   This week I learned (via the Internet) that toddlers and pre-teens are the same. I guess I actually learned that first hand since that is what I'm dealing with here. As cute and fun as the boys can be, they have been challenging my patience and creativity with their boyish antics. So, I have been taking a page from my husbands book on parenting. Keep them outside...and busy. And did I mention outside?! This seems like a no brainier, but living in Hawaii has not necessarily made me an outdoorsy person. So, yes, I have been out of my element lately. But, I'll give myself an 'A' for effort. And a small pink sunburn too. And the reward of a good dark beer now and again. The perks of summer time are a less rigid schedule, QT time with my boys, and for the first time ever, Gabe flying o
