Date Night...with the Hubby Of Course

If it weren't for an 8 year olds slumber party birthday, we would never eat at a real restaurant! While Gabe was off with several friends pizzaing, ice creaming, and staying up way too late---Isom and I enjoyed Du Vin and Indigo. We went to Du Vin for pupus and wine---Riesling for the lady and Pinot Noir for the gentleman. Throw in a cutting board filled with some of the world's best cheese (my limited taste of the world anyway), and the night was off to a good start. We savored the cute outdoor courtyard and indulged in...could it be? Adult conversation! The wine, cheese, and bread wet our appetites and we decided to walk across the street to Indigo's to continue the feast. We lucked out with a secluded corner table. The atmosphere was quiet and perfect. After a day of watching and hearing the world's loudest planes (The Thunderbird Air Show at Hickam), the calm mood of Indigo was a welcome change. I moved on to an evening cocktailwhile Isom stuck with his red wine and we both settled in for what was a delightful meal...Moi for meand "Buddha's Feast" for Isom.We skipped on the dessert, agreeing that ice cream from Star Market would suffice (we are simple people at heart), while we watched more "Dexter" . It was the perfect date.
