Bostons Pizza

...again. Always. Forever. Can never get enough...pizza. Thank goodness there is not a lack of it here. In the land of Asian cuisine on every corner, I feel very lucky that I can still eat good pizza. I knew today was going to be a good day. After dropping Gabe (and the neighbor) off at school, I hopped in the car and Red Hot Chili Peppers were on. Great way to start the morning. I was headed to Kailua to meet Lehua for pancakes! When Isom got back a few weeks ago, we drove directly from the airport to Boots n Kimos. I wrote about it. For some reason I neglected to order the thing they are most known for. Never make the same food mistake twice. Today, Lehua and I both ordered the macadamia nut pancakes smothered with mac sauce. It's not syrup. It's buttery, creamy, mac nutty. It covers the entire short stack of pancakes and is sprinkled with macadamia nuts on top (isn't this picture funny?! the lighting was so crazy...coupled with my lack of food photo skills...it's a winner...my best work yet) Good thing our plan was to walk afterwards. We walked along the marsh...with her baby...and stroller. Sounds weird. It looked weird as we pulled up. It was a beautiful, cool, breezy walk however. I look forward to doing it again (especially if those pancakes precede it). After walking and touring around the windward side, we parted company and I was surprised it was already past noon. Lunch! I called Isom to see if he could stop hitting buttons on the computer for awhile, and enjoy a slice of pizza with me. So, after my pancake and walking date with Lehua, I had a pizza date with Isom. I told you it was a good day. Check out Boston's if you haven't already (although who would that be?!). We frequent the Pearl City location---service with a smile, classic rock in the background, and veggie slices. I think I want to work here.

I finally now know where Boots n Kimo's is in Kailua. When we move over the hill, I'll be sure to check it out for some breakfast grub.
